No - not always. The price could change depending upon the personal
details you disclose in your full Application form.
But don't worry too soon! To put this in context, in our experience 88% of people who apply for life insurance do qualify for the price initially quoted.
Your quotation will assume that you are generally in good health for your age, you do not have a job that represents a risk to your health, you have a generally healthy lifestyle, your blood-line family does not have a history of hereditary ill-health, and you do not follow dangerous pursuits or regularly visit countries with known health problems.
If any of these assumptions are incorrect, then the insurance company will firstly want more information. (They may also ask for more information if you are asking for a particularly large sum to be insured.) We think that this is fair enough as your insurance company needs to understand the level of risk they are taking on in order to decide whether their original quotation can stand.
If the insurance company asks for more details, or even to have a medical, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will charge you more.
